SRAF Launches New Website to Promote the Arts
San Ramon, CA – The San Ramon Arts Foundation (SRAF), the principal non-profit, volunteer organization committed to promoting the Arts in the San Ramon Valley, is inviting visitors to explore its new website designed to raise awareness of the Arts in our community and to provide an overview of the Foundation, including the projects it sponsors, and sneak-peak at the 2020 calendar of events supported.
The SRAF in partnership with the City of San Ramon was established in 2000 with a mission to “Encourage, Support, and Promote the Arts in San Ramon and the San Ramon Valley.” The Foundation has two primary areas of focus:
- Provide financial assistance for the development of new cultural arts programs, for supporting and expansion of existing art programs, and to sponsor local artists and cultural arts organizations, and
- Organize special fund-raising events to acquire funding for the cultural arts programs and artists in our local community
The Foundation has a strong belief in the importance of Art and the impact it has on our society and specifically our local community members. The Arts communicate across all cultural boundaries and through time, and they encourage our creativity and inspire us to expand our imagination. We encourage all variations of art including visual, performing and literary arts, as well as public art. Some of the projects and organizations the Foundation currently sponsors include:
- The San Ramon Eagle
- Summer Concert Series
- Performing Art Series
- Foreign Film Series
- Jumpin’ at the Sun Dance Performances
- Culture in the Community Events
- Utility Art Project
“We are in an exciting new phase at the San Ramon Arts Foundation, as we transition into an invigorating chapter of impact for our local community,” said Gary Alpert, Vice President of the San Ramon Arts Foundation. “I am delighted to be joined by an active and insightful Board to help drive continual innovation and high impact initiatives that align closely with our mission. With upcoming significant cultural arts projects, such as the San Ramon Bronze Eagle, we are realizing ambitious artistic programs that bring the brilliance of Art to our San Ramon Valley community.”Gary Alpert, Vice President of the San Ramon Arts Foundation
Through grants and donations by individuals, and business sponsors, the Foundation is able to continually lead initiatives that drive the expansion of cultural arts in the San Ramon Valley.
Visitors to the new site can stay informed of the latest San Ramon Community Art and Culture initiatives and events and can learn how to get involved and help promote the Arts in our local community.
