Donna Batchelor spent 23 years in the commercial real estate industry where she was a Partner in her firm in charge of the business operations and the property management team for a San Francisco based real estate development and management company, focused on office and industrial properties.
After Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, as a volunteer, Donna spent several months in Mississippi working through the national office of Rebuilding Together to re-establish a local affiliate in the region to begin to allow volunteer labor to assist with the rebuild process in the region. For her work, she received the 2006 Carolyn L. Morgan, National Volunteer of the Year Award in Washington, D.C.
Donna is the current President of the Board of Directors for BD Performing Arts a local non profit organization serving more than 600 youth each year including the 17 time world champions Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps, and a Board Member for the South African Field Band Foundation.US, and a Board member for System Blue Products. In addition, she is a member of The Arts Advisory Committee for the City of San Ramon.
